writing blog entry 2

 In some high schools, many teachers and parents

have encouraged the school to adopt a dress code

that sets guidelines for what students can wear in

the school building. Some teachers and parents

support a dress code because they think it will

improve the learning environment in the school.

Other teachers and parents do not support a dress

code because they think it restricts the individual

student's freedom of expression. In your opinion,

should high schools adopt dress codes for

students?


I think students should be able to wear what they want to an extent, meaning they can wear their own outfits as long as it follows the dress code. Example profanity on a t-shirt that's an example of failure to comply with the dress code. If you want to wear jeans and a  t-shirt I think you should be able to. I've been in schools that required dress code in elementary and it was a pain its more simple and faster, cheaper to be able to wear what's in your everyday wardrobe. Instead of spending money on 5 collar shirts and 5 pants, u can spend the money on some clothes you can wear at school and out of school. Also, my opinion complies to middle school/Highschool due to if you're in elementary it is very very easy to get off task. So if you got a class full of 8-year-olds and another student comes to class with a video game shirt the class will get distracted so this opinion can go both ways.

    I think that schools should continue to keep enforcing students dress codes. for the simple fact that a lot of children my be distracted by how the students are dressing. Say one student comes to school with there breast out? the boys probably will pay attention to her breast being out. I honestly like the rule for the dress code because i have children as well and i would not be happy if my child was dressing inappropriately.

    I think the uniforms would be better if the school provided them , personally my family struggled with buying scho9ol uniforms , then having the buy nice clothes and play clothes for my siblings .

 I had this teacher named ms finley in the 3rd grade and me, and she had an excellent bond because around that time, I got a disease in my spine, and I was paralyzed for a few months and went fully blind. So while I was In the hospital for about 5 months, she would go and visit me every couple of weeks, and it meant a lot to me because she actually cared and she had got all my classmates to make me get well soon cards, and it really meant a lot to me. To this day, I have so much respect for her and will never forget who she is and what she did for me. And when I had got released from the hospital, she caught me up on all my work and got my grades up, and she would constantly be checking up on me even outside of school. She was a really positive teacher. Without her, I would have probably bombed that school year and fallen behind on my grades, so she really impacted my younger success.

Writing blog entry 7

 There is a goal that I set and achieved to graduate high school. I've established that goal since I was a kid in elementary school. I would tell my parents that I would walk that stage one day and get my diploma, which I technically achieved. Besides that walking the stage partly because I graduated in 2020 when covid first came, and everyone was virtual. Therefore, I couldn't walk the stage, but I did receive my diploma on time. I felt a significant relief when I achieved what I always wanted. I felt unstoppable and very happy for myself. It was worth all those hard times in school. It had all paid off.
